It has been a long time since I wrote the last post, it’s time to come back to action and take a look over Spanish cinema from outside.
Spending a year abroad is hard to follow Spanish cinema, even if it’s a close country and United Kingdom, most of the Spanish films are not able to pass the frontiers and go to foreing cinemas. Beyond a few directors like Pedro Almodovar or Alejandro Amanabar, there are no oportunities to watch a Spanish film in London.
Thanks to the international awards, that has given him an almost worldwide fame, Pedro Almodovar put his film ‘The Skin I live‘ on UK cinemas, and in other countries around the world. A similar case is Alejandro Amenabar whose last film ‘Agora’ was an international event.
